Trump pardons reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley
President Trump called Savannah Chrisley from the Oval Office in the White House to tell her he wanted to pardon her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley.
Lindsie Chrisley’s ex-boyfriend David Landsman has been indicted on four counts relating to an April altercation that allegedly turned violent.
A grand jury in Cherokee County, Georgia, issued a formal indictment against Landsman on Monday, Aug. 10, charging him with two counts of aggravated assault, one count of false imprisonment and one count of battery, according to documents obtained by USA TODAY.
The charges stem from an April 10 incident, in which Landsman allegedly “intentionally cause[d] substantial physical harm and visible bodily harm” to Chrisley, 36, the estranged daughter of daughter of reality star Todd Chrisley.
In the indictment, Landsman is accused of strangling the “Chrisley Knows Best” alum “by applying pressure to [her] throat and neck,” as well as “forcibly throwing and slamming her to the ground causing a laceration on her head.” He is also accused of confining and detaining her “without legal authority.”
Landsman’s lead attorney, Kim Keheley Frye, said he “categorically denies the allegations brought against him and maintains his innocence in full” in a statement released Wednesday, Aug. 12.
“We are deeply concerned by the scope and severity of these charges based on what we know about the facts already, which we believe reflect significant overreach by the state,” Frye added. “David Landsman has cooperated fully and looks forward to the opportunity to tell his side of the story through the proper legal process.”
USA TODAY has reached out to a representative for Chrisley for comment.
Landsman was arrested for allegedly assaulting Lindsie Chrisley in April
Landsman was previously arrested at the time of the incident and charged with misdemeanor battery and felony aggravated assault/strangulation, according to records obtained by USA TODAY. Chrisley filed for a protective order shortly after, alleging in her affidavit that on the night of April 9, Landsman became angry when he saw a photo on her phone he believed to be another man.
He then realized the photo was of himself, but allegedly “remained somewhat on edge the rest of the evening.” Later that night, Chrisley said she told Landsman she wanted to “step away from the relationship.”
As she packed her belongings at his house, the former reality star said she “confronted” Landsman about “lies” he had told and that he became “agitated and aggravated.” When she tried to leave, she alleged Landsman strangled her “multiple times” while yelling at her.
Chrisley said she punched Landsman in the face in an attempt to stop him, but alleged he grabbed her by the throat again and “threw her outside,” causing her head to hit the concrete before she was able to leave the property.
Police responded to the scene after Landsman called to report Chrisley punching him. They also went to meet her at her house, where they witnessed “injuries on her neck and her head,” per the affidavit, and Landsman was arrested.
Chrisley also detailed another alleged incident in her April petition for a protective order, claiming that on Feb. 13, Landsman “held her down on the ground and held her wrists together and put his foot on her ankles to keep her from being able to leave” when she went to his house to pick up her dog.
Additionally, Chrisley alleged Landsman strangled her several other times throughout their relationship and “has also been physically violent” with her now 14-year-old son from a previous marriage “in a public setting.” Landsman has not been charged in connection with any incidents besides the one that occurred April 10.
The former couple dated for two years, according to Chrisley’s petition, and first went public in April 2025 when Landsman shared a photo of them together on Instagram. They split following his arrest.
