Kyle Cooke hints at leaving Summer House after 10 seasons

After 10 seasons on Bravo’s Summer House, Kyle Cooke posted a tearful Instagram caption that made fans worry he was moving on. By the next update, he clarified that the show is not cancelled and he isn’t announcing he won’t return—just marking a hard, emotiona
Kyle Cooke walked fans right up to the edge of a goodbye.
On Thursday, June 18, the Summer House star—43—shared a carousel of Instagram photos and captioned it with words that sounded final. “End of an era 😭,” he wrote, adding, “I can’t tell how hard it was to muster up a smile in this photo with my producers.”
In the same post, Cooke described the difficult goodbye as something more than routine wrap-up. “Per usual I was the last to leave the house when we wrapped because I lug so much gear out. ” he said. “But this year was different. 10 seasons in the books. A new show on the way. And a heartbreaking way to end one helluva run.”.
He went on, visibly emotional in the way he typed, that the show had become more than a set. “I’m tearing up as I type this because we truly become a family shooting this show and it was a gut wrenching way to leave this house for good.”
Cooke also thanked the people who make the summer party happen—from the crew to the production team. He wrote that he was “thanking the producers as well as the crew ‘for giving up their summer to make it all happen,’” and said, “I think we can finally close this chapter.”
Then he added a line that only intensified the worry: he suggested he might post throwbacks later, “a lot happier than me driving home all by myself as we filmed the cross over.”
For many viewers, the biggest tell was what happened in the comments. Followers rushed in asking what his cryptic caption meant—whether the end of Season 10 was also the end of Cooke’s time on the series.
Cooke, for his part, thanked fans for sticking with the show for a decade. “Finally, thank you to the fans for believing in this show and for all of your support over the last decade. ❤️ 🙏🏻 xoxo,” he wrote.
But just as quickly, he pulled the post back from the brink.
After fans reacted, Cooke made a slight edit to the caption. “EDIT!” he wrote. “End of Season 10 and a decade of filming this show as I know it. The show isn’t cancelled and this is not me announcing I won’t return. I was feeling emo and always planned sharing the cover photo because it DID feel like the end of an era. which is why everyone else was so emotional saying their goodbyes on the finale. Sorry everyone!”.
The tension in the moment didn’t exist in a vacuum. Summer House fans have watched Cooke’s personal life and the show’s storylines intertwine—especially his relationship with Amanda Batula.
Cooke split from estranged wife Amanda Batula before Batula and West Wilson revealed they are in a relationship. Batula. who met Cooke during the summer of 2015. only appeared as a guest during the first season of Summer House in 2017. She joined as a main cast member during the second season and remained with the series since.
And earlier this year, Cooke and Batula told viewers they have “mutually and amicably decided to part ways” and asked for privacy and “grace.” Fans of the couple have seen them navigate “the very public ups and downs” of their relationship on the show.
What Cooke posted on June 18 landed differently because of where the series itself now stands. In May 2026, Summer House was renewed for an 11th season.
The sequence is straightforward—Season 10 wrap emotions, a caption that sounded like an exit, and then a direct correction from Cooke that he wasn’t announcing he would stop returning. The feeling in the posts is real; the facts about the show’s future, for now, are already set.

End of an era?? so is the show actually done or what
He’s dramatic lol. Bravo always does this like “not cancelled” but then someone “leaves.” Also “new show on the way” sounds like a promo move.
Wait I thought he said he was quitting? The article says it’s not cancelled but his caption sounds like he’s gone-gone. “Family” and “close this chapter” like cmon. And the “driving home all by myself” part… is he mad at someone or just sad for the views?
I don’t get it. If he was the last one to leave with gear, that means he still worked the wrap, so why would he be crying like he died? And “a new show on the way” like he got picked up by someone else? Probably the producers told him to go… or the contract ended. People are always “tearing up” on Insta and then come back next season anyway.
