Jonathan Scott is stepping into a new spotlight—one built for daylight hours, scheduled cameras, and the kind of guests who bring their own expertise to the couch.

Scott’s name carries built-in audience heat. He’s best known for co-hosting and executive producing the “Property Brothers” franchise and “Celebrity IOU” alongside his twin brother Drew. He also co-founded and leads Scott Brothers Global and Scott Brothers Entertainment. as well as Scott Living and Drew & Jonathan Home.

The timing of this daytime reinvestment matters. Daytime syndication is slowing. with “The Kelly Clarkson Show” slated to end after seven seasons as Clarkson steps away to prioritize her family. and Sherri Shepherd’s “Sherri” canceled after four seasons. NBCUniversal has also canceled daytime shows “Karamo” and “The Steve Wilkos Show. ” along with “Access Hollywood” and “Access Live. ” as part of a major syndication strategy overhaul.

CBS Media Ventures, meanwhile, already anchors multiple daytime staples and talk-adjacent programs. Alongside “The Drew Barrymore Show,” the company is behind “Jeopardy!,” “Wheel of Fortune,” “Entertainment Tonight,” “Inside Edition,” “Hot Bench,” and “Flip Side,” among others.

With “Better! With Jonathan Scott” moving toward a pilot later this month in New York, CBS Media Ventures is betting that Scott’s blend of lifestyle ambition and entertainment-friendly credibility can still draw viewers—even as the daytime landscape grows more uncertain.
