Jen Terry Says Islanders Fart Then Sprint Away

On Love Island USA’s Aftersun special, Jen Terry joked that “it’s literally everyone walking around” farting in the villa—then suggested the Islanders “do it and run away.”
Love Island USA can be all romance on camera, but in the villa, Jen Terry says even the most basic human moments don’t get a pass.
On the Saturday, July 4, episode of the Aftersun special, Jen answered a question about how Islanders handle gas behind the scenes. “It’s literally everyone walking around,” she said. Then she dropped her rule for dealing with it: “Do it and run away.”
Caleb McDaniel later backed up the chaos with a vivid memory from Fiji, describing a first-night moment with Kenzie. “The first night that Kenzie and me were coupled up, I was behind her and my belly [wasn’t feeling good],” he recalled. “You could probably feel it on the other side of the room.”
Jen wasn’t only joking when it came to villa life, either. Before her exit. she also got surprisingly candid about her confidence when the guys in the house didn’t show interest in her. In a June episode, she admitted that the lack of attention hit hard. “I know that I am gorgeous and stunning but here — besides when I was with Gabe — I felt like. ‘Am I hideous?’” she said. “Is there something wrong with me?. Does my personality suck?”.
She continued: “Normally I am used to guys drooling over me. Here, it has been so hard.”
Love Island USA places singles in isolation in a luxury villa under constant video surveillance, with a simple rule to stay in the game: Islanders must pair off. The show follows that setup as contestants look for the connections that keep them in—and chase the $100,000 prize.
The season is also riding a wave of momentum. Season 7 brought in 18.4 billion streaming minutes, making it the most-watched original season of television on the platform. Narrator Iain Stirling previously told Us Weekly exclusively in July 2025 that the show is putting more emphasis on the journey than the result. “There’s a lot more emphasis put on the journey as opposed to the result,” Stirling said. “I think it’s about the journey of finding someone and how you grow as a person by doing that. Whereas five or six years ago, you had, like, proper millennials in there. There was that more traditional approach to dating.”.
He added that the idea now is less about fitting into one “proper” dating path and more about doing what feels right in the moment. “The end goal [was] to be with someone and you have this contract with someone you’re in a relationship with to honor that person and to honor that relationship. ” Stirling said. “I think now there’s a lot more people who make contracts with themselves to have the journey that they want and the experience they’re after.”.
Stirling also framed it around age and expectations, saying, “These people are predominantly speaking in their early 20s. If you can’t be selfish dating then — then when can you?. Especially people from my generation, they weren’t selfish in their 20s and maybe did not want to upset people. Then they get to sort of 30 to 40 and get divorced and go insane. Maybe it’s the healthier way to do it.”.
New episodes of Love Island USA release six days a week—except for Wednesdays—on Peacock.
And if there’s one takeaway from Jen’s Aftersun answer, it’s that even the villa’s messiest moments come with its own survival strategy: if it happens, handle it fast, and don’t linger.

That title is wild lol
So they’re just farting all day and the cameras are on… like cool entertainment I guess. But “do it and run away” is hilarious and also kinda gross.
Wait I thought Love Island was like all romantic and producers stop stuff like that? If it’s “literally everyone” then why don’t they edit it out or whatever. Also Caleb saying you could feel it across the room is like… not sure if that’s a joke or just oversharing.
I feel like this is why I don’t watch, it’s always “stay paired up” but then it’s also human body stuff everywhere. And Jen saying guys weren’t interested, I mean that’s the whole point of the show? If they don’t like her then that’s just how it goes. But “fart then sprint away” sounds like something a producer tells them to say so they get clicks…
