Jelly Roll filed divorce days after separating from Bunnie XO

Jelly Roll’s divorce petition lists May 9, 2026 as his date of separation from Bunnie XO—just days before he filed for divorce on May 18—citing irreconcilable differences and ending a decade of marriage.

Jelly Roll’s divorce case moved fast—at least on paper. In his petition, the country singer listed a May 9, 2026 separation date from Bunnie XO, just days before he headed to court to file.

The legal filing, published in new court documents obtained by TMZ, shows Jelly Roll cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. He filed his petition on May 18.

The petition also lays out the timeline of their relationship in clear dates: Jelly Roll listed the date of marriage as August 30, 2016. He then listed the date of separation as May 9, 2026—meaning the separation reportedly came a little over a week before the divorce filing.

The petition was filed by Rose Palermo, a powerhouse lawyer who previously represented Kristin Cavallari in her divorce from Jay Cutler.

As TMZ first reported, Jelly Roll filed for divorce in May in Tennessee, after a decade of marriage. Photos obtained by TMZ also showed a moving truck outside their home this week. The estate is a short distance from Nashville.

The dates in the petition don’t leave a lot of room for ambiguity: marriage on August 30, 2016; separation on May 9, 2026; and a divorce filing on May 18. With a moving truck recently spotted near their home, the filings and the visuals line up on timing.

For Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO, this is now the formal step that turns a separation into a legal process—one that began moving just days after their last listed connection as a couple.

  1. May 18 filed… May 9 separated… so basically he filed like a week later. Also that lawyer Rose Palermo sounds like she does divorces for everyone, I swear I saw her name in other stuff too.

  2. I don’t get the whole “irreconcilable differences” thing, like what does that even mean? If there’s a moving truck outside the house, that’s basically like they already checked out emotionally, right? TMZ always finds a truck and then everyone acts like it’s proof of something.

  3. This just feels like another celebrity contract thing, not a marriage. Like, if the separation date is May 9 and they filed May 18, that’s only days, but people keep saying “ending a decade” like it was some big shock. Also Nashville is close so maybe the truck was for his tour stuff or furniture not a divorce… unless court docs magically mean everything instantly.
