feedback – some people have even been saying it should be the official anthem,” he said. “It’s really gaining momentum. Being a musician, you have to take these opportunities, and I wanted to give something back to the fans and the country in this moment and try to encapsulate that in a video to make it epic. “We’ve got an anthem now that is from Inverness, and it’s been brilliant to have that recognition. “It helps to push the Scotland thing away from Celtic and
Rangers, or Hibs and Hearts. We’re a Highland band, so there’s no club association in the same way – it’s all about Scotland. “The music video is a really good showcase of the Highlands and Inverness, and it’s been brilliant to get feedback from people in the central belt or abroad who think it’s brilliant.” Mr MacGillivray will not be attending the game against Haiti itself due to his performance times, but that does not mean his trip to the USA will be exclusively music-based.

I’ve heard rumours about Ewan MacGregor maybe making an appearance as well, but again I don’t know. “We’re going to be in the right place if they do show up – we’re right in the heart of things and we’re going to have the place bouncing. “I was out in Germany a couple of years ago for my brother’s stag do, and we fitted it

This is cool but why is everyone acting like it’s some official anthem already? Tens of thousands views isn’t like, the whole country right? Also I thought Scotland already had an anthem like Flower of Scotland or whatever.
Wait so he’s going to Boston to talk about an ancestor being a chief?? That part feels kinda random to me, like are we sure it’s accurate or is it just family lore. Either way bagpipes in a music video with the castle sounds awesome. I just don’t get how it’s gonna “push the Scotland thing away from” Celtic/Rangers like that’s actually how people work.
Love Inverness but idk about “best anthem” stuff when it’s literally instrumentals. Still though, that Denmark win footage comment?? That’s the part that made me emotional, I remember watching it. Hope Haiti game still gets the hype even if he can’t make it, like Scotland better bring the bagpipes anyway. Also the Highland Games morning thing sounds like he’s doing too much, but go off.
