Injured Piper Niven calls Jade Cargill move sloppy

After Jade Cargill reposted her own clip from WWE Night of Champions, injured star Piper Niven slammed the execution of Cargill’s Blackhole Slam—before deleting her original post and later praising Cargill as a “real one.”

The timing was the kind that turns wrestling talk into something louder than the arena.

After Jade Cargill’s unsuccessful challenge of Tiffany Stratton for the Women’s United States Championship at Night of Champions, Cargill reposted a clip of one of the key moments on X—formerly Twitter—while praising herself with the words: “D**n this was beautiful.”

That was enough for Piper Niven, still sidelined by injury, to jump in. In a post that quickly spread. Niven went after the move itself. writing: “5/10 a bit sloppy.” She added that Cargill “didn’t transfer her weight onto your chest so you never really had her. ” which. in Niven’s view. is why “she slipped out and you got that double bump effect and her head verberated on the mat.”.

Then Niven punctured the criticism with a line that landed like a wink—something fans couldn’t ignore even as they argued over it: “But you looked great, and who cares who you hurt so long as you’re alright, right?”

Niven’s post has seemingly been deleted from X, and WWE fans were mixed on what she wrote—enough, at least, that she later returned with a different message.

In a new post after deleting her criticism, Niven said the situation warmed her heart. She claimed Cargill was paying homage by keeping her moves alive in the ring. calling her “a real one sis.” Niven framed it directly: “[You] know what warms my heart?. After all we’ve been through. [Jade Cargill] paying homage to me and keeping my moves alive in the ring [clapping hands emoji]. You’re a real one sis.”.

Niven also kept the conversation tied to technique and promised to make her point clearer next time. She said that when she returns. she’ll “show you how to transfer their weight so you get the pin next time. ” while still drawing a line back to the original message she had sent—just with a softer tone.

The two stars aren’t strangers to each other. Niven has wrestled Cargill in singles action once—on the Apr. 12, 2024, edition of Friday Night SmackDown—and they also met in tag team action during the 2025 Queen of the Ring tournament. In that tournament, Cargill won the first round matchup in 2025.

Niven, though, hasn’t been able to step into the ring in recent months. She has not wrestled a match since the Aug. 22, 2025, edition of SmackDown due to a neck injury.

So the exchange after Night of Champions carried an extra edge: Cargill reposting a victory moment for herself. and Niven—injured but still sharp enough to dissect execution—responding in public. And when she moved from criticism to praise. it wasn’t a retreat from the history between them; it was a shift in how that history was meant to land.

The result left fans with a question that doesn’t disappear: was the “sloppy” jab about what happened in the ring, or about what it meant to see it shared so openly? Either way, the posts—and the sudden deletion—made sure the Blackhole Slam debate wouldn’t stay confined to the match.

  1. I didn’t even read it all but if Piper is hurt then don’t be judging the move like that. Also why delete and then compliment? Sounds back and forth for clout.

  2. Wait she said the Blackhole Slam was sloppy because “didn’t transfer her weight”?? Like… how do you even know that unless you’re in the ring. I mean I get wrestling is staged but people act like it’s surgery or something.

  3. This is what happens when somebody reposts a clip and the internet goes feral. She said head “verberated” on the mat—ok but wouldn’t WWE lawyers be like stop talking? Then she’s like “real one sis” and now it’s all wholesome?? I’m confused, sounds like she got caught being mad and then did a damage control post.
