Albanese backs fuel excise taper as $400,000 cost looms

  1. So they cut fuel excise but heavy vehicles are still getting charged? I’m confused. Also $400,000 lost earnings sounds like they’re just wasting money again.

  2. Is this because of Iran? Like I swear every gas story is Iran this and Iran that. If the US-Iran deal collapses, they’ll “respond” which means more taxes, watch.

  3. “Every Australian worker will get a tax cut” but gas still costs over $2 right? They keep saying sensible like that fixes anything. Saving $11 on a 65L tank is nice I guess, but then they say the government pays the subsidy so where does the money come from if it’s “lost earnings”?? idk man.
