More diversions to Tenerife South as weather worsens

Adverse weather conditions caused disruption at Tenerife North Airport yesterday, Wednesday, forcing several flights to divert to Tenerife South Airport, according to airport operator AENA. The affected services included both domestic and inter-island flights arriving from Seville, Madrid, Lanzarote, La Palma and Gran Canaria. As a result, all five aircraft were redirected to Tenerife South Airport. The disruption comes as strong winds and unstable weather continue to affect parts of the Canary Islands, with Spain’s State Meteorological Agency, AEMET, extending several yellow weather warnings across

the archipelago earlier this week. Passengers travelling between the islands or to mainland Spain are advised to check directly with their airline for the latest flight information and possible delays throughout the day.
