The first notice came April 20 from the FDA, followed by a second notice April 30 from FSIS.
The agencies said additional food items made with the recalled powdered milk would be added on a rolling basis as the recall was processed. By June 1. the list had expanded well beyond its early boundaries. including products sold at major retailers such as Costco. Walmart. Kroger. Target. QVC and Williams Sonoma—making the situation feel less like a narrow brand problem and more like a kitchen-wide disruption.
The initial list included frozen pizzas sold at Aldi stores nationwide, though the recall has since expanded to include products sold at Walmart, Target, QVC and Williams Sonoma. The newest round adds popular stores—including Kroger, Publix and Costco—into the mix.

Symptoms of salmonella poisoning
Symptoms of salmonella poisoning usually start six hours to six days after swallowing the bacteria. The most common symptoms are diarrhea, fever and stomach cramps, according to the CDC.
While most healthy people can recover in four to seven days without treatment, some vulnerable groups—including children under 5, adults 65 and older, and those with weakened immune systems—may experience more severe illness that requires medical treatment or hospitalization.
If someone displays more serious symptoms, the CDC advises contacting a health care professional, including:
Diarrhea and a fever higher than 102 degrees.
Diarrhea for more than three days that is not improving.
Bloody diarrhea.
So much vomiting that a person cannot keep liquids down.
Signs of dehydration, such as not peeing much, dry mouth and throat, and feeling dizzy when standing up.
