A wall is about to become a charging station.

ETOE has announced the pre-sale launch of the Dolphin 2, a portable projector built for people who don’t want to tether their movie nights to the nearest outlet. The company says the device now carries certified Google TV inside, along with a built-in 54Wh battery that also doubles as a power bank.

The Dolphin 2 is a second-generation model that moves away from the original Dolphin projector’s compact, cylindrical shape. ETOE has redesigned it into a larger, rectangular form—even if it still looks like the same idea at heart: point it at any surface and get a picture without fuss.

On the display side, the projector is rated at 800 ANSI lumens, which ETOE positions as an upgrade of 300 lumens over the Dolphin 1. It supports native 1080p resolution with 4K decoding, and it’s specified with a 110% BT.2020 color gamut.

Battery life is a key part of the pitch. ETOE says the 54Wh battery can deliver up to two hours of playback. The Dolphin 2 also supports USB-C fast charging, functioning as a power bank when you need to top up other devices.

The projector’s smart features are where ETOE goes all in. It includes certified Google TV built-in, giving access to more than 10,000 apps. The lineup includes Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, and Disney Plus. For people who prefer to bring their own content. the Dolphin 2 also supports casting from other devices. and it can be controlled using Google Assistant.

Even the physical setup gets attention. ETOE says the projector has a tilt range between -40 degrees and 76 degrees, making it easier to aim at walls and ceilings.

ETOE says the Dolphin 2 is going on sale in the US and select European markets. Pre-orders are available now, with early bird pricing ending on June 28. At the normal price, the projector costs $1,043. During the early bird window, the price drops to $927.

  1. 54Wh for only 2 hours is kinda wild, my phone battery has more than that somehow. But I guess if you’re camping it’s cool. $927 early bird feels like a scam tho, not gonna lie.

  2. Wait so it’s 800 ANSI lumens but they still say it’s portable like it’ll work in daylight?? I tried a projector once and it was basically useless unless it was dark and raining. Also 10,000 apps… half of those are probably dead.

  3. I’m confused by the battery/power bank part. Like does it charge YOUR stuff while it’s running or only when it’s off? And why is it $1,043 like okay. Also Google Assistant control is neat but I bet it still makes me connect to Wi-Fi for everything anyway.
