When the LOOP Tour landed back in North America on June 13, fans at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona didn’t have to wait long to feel the rhythm of Ed Sheeran’s stadium design—main stage energy, then a turn to the B-stage where he seemed most comfortable.
The show ran about 2 ½ hours, with Sheeran moving between the main stage and the B-stage throughout. A curved screen sat behind him, and an intermittently extending bridge gave him a path back and forth as he balanced high-volume moments with slower, sing-along ballads.
Sheeran’s set leaned into the catalog he’s built over a 15-year, highly productive career. The performance drew from all eras, including energetic runs of “Castle on the Hill,” “Shivers” and a prolonged “I See Fire.”
