Dukes of Hazzard Star John Schneider Denies $2.3M

John Schneider is asking a judge to shut down his ex-wife Elvira’s latest motion in their ongoing legal battle, denying she is owed more than $2 million in unpaid spousal support.
John Schneider says he doesn’t owe his ex-wife what she claims—down to the math.
The “Dukes of Hazzard” star has filed new legal documents asking a judge to stop Elvira Schneider’s latest motion in their ongoing, never-ending legal fight. The latest round follows Elvira’s claim that John owes her more than $2 million in unpaid spousal support.
John’s position is blunt: he argues Elvira failed to provide evidence to support the seven-figure amount she is seeking. He also says she made mathematical errors in her calculations.
A judge has not ruled yet.
Elvira’s most recent filing comes after she earlier alleged John was far behind on spousal support. In documents filed in March, she claimed John owed $2,382,548—an amount that included nearly $1 million in interest.
The dispute traces back to their divorce. Elvira filed for divorce in 2014 after 21 years of marriage. They settled the case in 2019, with the actor being ordered to pay Elvira $25K a month in spousal support.
Now, Elvira is asking the court to award her a cut of John’s Screen Actors Guild pension and his Social Security checks until the alleged debt is paid off. John, for his part, is not conceding.
One thing is clear in the filings already on record: Elvira is framing her claim as an unpaid support balance that has ballooned—while John is challenging it at the foundation, pointing to missing proof and incorrect calculations.
