Dodgers’ Pages and Muncy roar past Angels, 6-0

Dodgers’ Pages – Andy Pages and Max Muncy delivered back-to-back home-run damage as the Los Angeles Dodgers opened the Freeway Series with a 6-0 shutout of the Angels at Angel Stadium.

When Blake Snell was placed on the injured list just hours before first pitch, the Dodgers walked into Friday night’s Freeway Series opener with a bullpen game forced on them.

Andy Pages broke the game open in the fourth with a 407-foot. three-run home run—his 10th of the season—after entering the night in a slump at the plate.. Max Muncy followed three pitches later. launching a 383-foot solo shot to right field for his 12th home run of the year.

Teoscar Hernandez added his own momentum in the sixth, hitting a 372-foot two-run homer that ended a 23-game home run drought and gave him his fifth of the season.

Shohei Ohtani contributed with his 200th career double, and Hyeseong Kim got the first Dodgers hit of the game. Ohtani also drew a walk in the third inning.

On the Angels side, Jack Kochanowicz allowed six runs on seven hits over six innings. Logan O’Hoppe exited the game in the sixth with left wrist irritation.

The loss deepened an ugly stretch for Los Angeles, which has now dropped four straight games and six of its last seven.

The series continues Saturday, with Justin Wrobleski (5-1, 2.42 ERA, 0.99 WHIP) set to start for the Dodgers against Jose Soriano (6-2, 1.66 ERA, 1.05 WHIP).
