Dodge Chargers Daytona EV jumps $12,500 for 2027

2027 Charger – For 2027, the Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack EV costs $12,500 more, starting at $72,495. Dodge says the powertrain is unchanged, while factory personalization options expand. Order books are open, with deliveries set for the third quarter.

The 2027 Dodge Charger is rolling into a new price reality—at least for the electric version.

The Charger Daytona Scat Pack is now $12,500 more expensive for 2027. The two-door starts at $72,495, up from $59,995 previously. The four-door Daytona Scat Pack adds another $500, bringing it to $72,995. The Daytona Scat Pack Plus follows the same sharp jump: $77. 490 for 2027 (up from $64. 990). with the four-door versions adding $500 to the price.

It’s a stark contrast inside the rest of the lineup. The entry-level Charger R/T with the gas engine remains unchanged at $49,995, with the other R/T and Scat Pack trims holding their prices as well.

Dodge’s 2027 shift doesn’t target the electric Charger’s hardware. The powertrain remains unchanged, and the electric Charger is still capable of producing up to 670 horsepower. The Daytona is positioned as the most powerful version of the Charger lineup for now. ahead of the Sixpack-powered Charger R/T and Scat Pack. which produce 420 hp and 550 hp respectively. using the same twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six engine with different tunes.

Dodge’s pricing snapshot makes the break clear:

For 2027, Charger R/T stays at $49,995 (same as 2026), and Charger R/T Plus remains $54,990 (unchanged). The Charger Scat Pack is $54,995 and the Scat Pack Plus is $59,990—both unchanged from 2026.

Only the Daytona EV models move. The Charger Daytona Scat Pack rises to $72,495 for the two-door from $59,995, and the Plus rises to $77,490 for the two-door from $64,990.

The change isn’t just what it costs. It also keeps what drivers care about—performance—fixed. The Daytona EV is still the quickest Charger on sale today. hitting 60 miles per hour in 3.3 seconds and completing the quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds. The R/T takes 4.6 seconds to hit 60 and 12.9 seconds to run the drag strip. The Scat Pack sits in the middle, needing 3.9 seconds to reach 60 and 12.2 seconds for the quarter-mile.

Dodge says there are no major changes to the Charger for 2027 beyond expanded personalization options backed by Mopar. On the outside, customers will have a wider range of factory Mopar graphics. Dodge will also offer dual stripes in gloss red, satin white, and satin black. A package featuring an orange-and-black Brembo brake caliper is also part of the mix.

Inside, Scat Pack models can feature Petrol Blue performance leather seats with red stitching and unique perforations. Demonic Red seat belts are also now available across the lineup.

Dodge has opened order books for the 2027 Charger. Deliveries are set to begin arriving at dealerships in the third quarter of the year, and all-wheel drive is standard across the lineup.

The uneasy part for shoppers is the pattern: the gas-powered trims don’t change, but the Daytona EV suddenly does. And with enthusiasts still expecting the next Hellcat variant, the higher EV price lands in a market moment where many people may be waiting to decide what comes next.

  1. Wait the EV jumps like 12 grand but it’s still the same 670 hp? That’s wild. I swear every time I check car prices they’re just… higher for no reason.

  2. Maybe it’s because the gas ones stayed the same? Like they’re only charging extra for the electric because it’s “new tech” or whatever. But if the powertrain is unchanged then I don’t get it. Also $72k for a Charger seems insane even if it’s fast.

  3. I saw something about Daytona and thought it was gonna be like a limited edition or something, not just $12,500 more. Then it says factory personalization options expand… so basically you pay more to get the same car but with different stuff? Cool cool. Also why does the four-door only go up $500 if the two-door went up a lot? Numbers are confusing, not gonna lie.
