Denise Richards seeks order to keep RHOBH pay private

Denise Richards didn’t wait for the divorce to play out in open court. On June 26, she filed for a protective order in Los Angeles Superior Court, asking a judge to block Aaron Phypers from exposing details of her income connected to “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
Richards, 55, tied her request directly to a fight over pay. The filing was submitted in response to Phypers’ petition seeking records of her earnings from the company that produces the long-running reality series. In her court request. she argued that making her income public would violate nondisclosure agreements she has in place with production companies.
She also said publicizing her pay would not stay contained. Richards told the court it would “negatively impact [her] relationship with production companies. as well as other cast members.” She added “significant concerns” that Phypers would use the information “to further tarnish my public reputation. ” especially because she said he previously shared personal and false information with the media.
The timing of the dispute has kept both sides at odds. not just over the marriage but over what should remain private. Phypers filed for divorce from Richards after six years of marriage in early July. citing “irreconcilable differences.” Days later. Richards sought a temporary restraining order. alleging physical and emotional abuse during their relationship.
In that earlier filing, Richards wrote, “Throughout our marriage, Aaron threatened to kill me and himself and the police. He owns at least 8 unregistered guns.” The request included several photos, including one of Richards with a black eye, which she said was the result of Phypers’ abuse.
She later testified about the alleged abuse and was granted a five-year restraining order. Phypers has denied the allegations. In a statement shared with People and Us Weekly on July 17. he said the claims are “completely false and deeply hurtful.” He added. “Let me be unequivocally clear: I have never physically or emotionally abused Denise — or anyone. Denise and I, like many couples, have faced our share of challenges, but any suggestion of abuse is categorically untrue. I have always tried to approach our marriage with love, patience and respect.”.
The latest protective-order request places the divorce’s financial question at the center of a larger fight over trust. reputation. and access to information tied to the show. Richards’ petition asks the court to prevent income details from becoming part of the public record. while Phypers’ actions reflect a push for records about her pay.
Richards previously appeared on “RHOBH” as a full-time Housewife from 2019 until 2020, before briefly returning in a “friend” role in 2023. Now, as the case moves forward, her filing aims to keep salary information from being exposed amid her ongoing divorce from Phypers.

Wait so he wants her salary info?? wild.
I mean NDA’s are NDA’s right. But also like… reality show pay is public anyway, isn’t it? This sounds messy.
Denise should just ignore the dude. If he “exposed” her income it’s because she paid for PR or something. Also judges always choose the hottest celebrity, so idk why we’re acting shocked.
The part where she says he threatened to kill her and himself?? like how is it not bigger news than “pay private.” And then they’re fighting about money from RHOBH like that’s the main issue. Doesn’t she have an NDA with production, but then other cast members know already… so how does it “not stay contained” if it’s already in the ecosystem? Seems like everyone’s using the courts to air stuff.
