Dee McGregor hypes Conor before UFC 329 return

Dee McGregor has shared a video on social media gushing over her husband ahead of his UFC return. Conor McGregor headlines UFC 329 against Max Holloway at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on July 11. It will be his first fight in five years. McGregor’s last bout came on the exact same date in 2021, when he suffered a horror leg break during his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier as he lost to the American for the second time that year following his January
defeat in Abu Dhabi. The Dubliner faces Holloway once again almost 13 years on from their clash in Boston, which McGregor won by unanimous decision. Sharing an old video of herself and her husband on her Instagram story, Dee wrote: “Love of my life.” Meanwhile, Poirier couldn’t resist having a pop at McGregor when reacting to his UFC return. “Conor McGregor, I put you to sleep in Abu Dhabi, bud,” Poirier said. “Clip it and rip it! Sleepy Mac!” He added: “If it does go
all five and there’s a point down in the last 10 seconds, I don’t think Conor’s going to be in physical shape to throw down with Max like that because Max is still fast at the end of the fight, man.” McGregor was due to face Michael Chandler in June 2024, but withdrew from the fight after suffering an injury. And Chandler believes he will cross paths with the Irishman at some point in the future. “I wish Conor well. The sport is a better
place when Conor McGregor is training and on his way back. Max got the nod,” he told MMA Junkie . “We’ll get to see them compete here, it’s only five weeks away. I’ll be there cage-side watching, very interested in how that fight goes. “Whether me and Conor fight in the UFC or not, Conor and I will compete against each other at some point, in some venue, somewhere, somehow, some way. The story is there, the animosity is there, but also the mutual respect
is already there. It’s got all the makings of a blockbuster. “So if it happens down the line, it happens down the line. But I wish him well and it’s good to hear obviously. I know they wanted that fight. I wanted the fight. Obviously the UFC had different plans, and the UFC has every right to make whatever fight they want to make. So, here we are.” Click here to sign up to our sport newsletter, bringing you the top stories and biggest headlines
