Phillies Host Surging White Sox at Citizens Bank Park

Phillies vs. – The Phillies will continue their homestand at Citizens Bank Park against a White Sox team that has dramatically improved from recent seasons. Here are the full TV details for the three-game series.

When the Phillies walk into Citizens Bank Park this weekend, they won’t just be chasing another homestand win. They’ll be trying to keep pace with a White Sox team that looks nothing like the one Chicago watched last two seasons.

The ballpark has been the Phillies’ home since 2004. and this series adds another test to a schedule that already feels like momentum. The Phillies enter with a strong run: they’re 33-29 overall and 8-3 over their last 11 games. including two three-game sweeps of the San Diego Padres. Fresh off a sweep at Citizens Bank Park, they’ll look to keep the same rhythm at home.

Chicago, though, is the bigger story. Two years ago, the White Sox posted a 41-121 record, one of the worst seasons in MLB history. Last season wasn’t much better—60-102 and comfortably at the bottom of their division. This year’s club has flipped the script.

Through 62 games in 2026, the White Sox are 33-29 and sit second in the AL Central, just two games behind the first-place Guardians. It’s their best start since 2021, when they won 93 games and made the playoffs.

The Phillies will also have to adjust to who isn’t in the lineup. This series. they will avoid White Sox first baseman Munetaka Murakami. the 26-year-old rookie sensation from Japan and the engine of Chicago’s offense. Murakami has 20 home runs and a .938 OPS so far this season. but he’s been on the IL since May 30 with a strained hamstring.

Even with him sidelined, Chicago still brings a promising young lineup. That’s what makes this matchup feel so different from the standings people remember from recent years: the White Sox may be missing their star first baseman, but they’re still finding ways to score and compete.

The schedule is straightforward, with three night-and-day games at Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies and White Sox play Friday in a night game, then Saturday with an evening start. Sunday closes the series with an afternoon finale.

All three games will be broadcast locally. Here’s when and where you can watch:

Friday, June 5, at 6:40 p.m. ET: NBC Sports Philadelphia
Saturday, June 6, at 4:05 p.m. ET: NBC Sports Philadelphia
Sunday, June 7, at 1:35 p.m. ET: NBC Sports Philadelphia

  1. Murakami being out is gonna change everything right? Also Phillies been hot lately so I feel like they should just steamroll.

  2. IL since May 30 for a strained hamstring… that means he’s probably still not fully healthy, so yeah Sox offense gonna dip. But then again the article says they’re still second in the AL Central so I don’t even know lol.

  3. 6:40 Friday, 4:05 Saturday, 1:35 Sunday right? I swear these times always confuse me. Also if Murakami has 20 HR then why is he out? like hamstring injuries usually happen from bad stretching or something, so maybe Chicago did that? idk. Anyway Phillies better keep winning at home.
