Davante Adams eyes rapid climb to receptions top 10

As Davante Adams enters his 13th NFL season with the Rams, his 1,017 career receptions put him on the doorstep of major all-time milestones. With seven catches needed to match Isaac Bruce and another seven to reach Steve Smith Sr., Adams is also on track to pu

Davante Adams didn’t have to be flashy to change the math of the all-time NFL receiving list. He just kept catching passes.

With 60 receptions in 2025—his first year with the Rams—Adams reached 1,017 career catches and moved to No. 16 on the all-time list. The next steps are close enough to picture in the stat line: he needs only seven catches to match Rams legend and Hall of Famer Isaac Bruce at No. 15. From there, it’s another seven catches to catch Steve Smith Sr. at No. 14.

If Adams repeats the 60-catch season. he’d land in the top 10—one reception ahead of Anquan Boldin and one behind Terrell Owens. Even the race for that final slot has a built-in storyline. because free-agent Keenan Allen—currently at 1. 055 career receptions—could shape how the 2026 picture plays out at No. 10 versus No. 11.

Adams is 33 years old, and how much longer he’ll play remains unclear. But the distance to Marvin Harrison Sr. is now concrete: entering 2026, he’s only 86 catches away from passing Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison Sr., who is fifth with 1,102 receptions.

The touchdowns tell a similar story of dominance that doesn’t require guesswork. Adams is already seventh in career touchdown receptions with 117. He has led the league three times—and he’s the only player to do that with three different teams: Packers. Raiders and Rams. Last year, he had 14 touchdown catches in 14 games.

With 14 touchdown catches this year, Adams would move into a position few receivers reach: he’d occupy the No. 4 spot on the all-time list at 131, behind only Jerry Rice (197), Randy Moss (156), and Terrell Owens (153).

That’s the part that lingers for fans and evaluators alike. Adams has built a borderline Hall of Fame resume already. and the remaining milestones are close enough that “eventually” stops being a vague word. As his 13th NFL season approaches. the catch list isn’t just a legacy line—it’s something he can still actively reshape.
