Coors Light’s limited-edition “Tallerboy” canister sold out in under 30 minutes after going on sale June 11 at 1 p.m. ET. Only 125 were available for the Thursday online drop, and another 125 will be released June 18 through Shop.CoorsLight.com.
A 30-minute countdown has become the new reality for soccer fans trying to grab the latest Coors Light collectible.
The brand’s limited-edition “Tallerboy” canister went on sale June 11 at 1 p.m. ET through Shop.CoorsLight.com and sold out before 1:30 p.m. ET, according to the website. Coors Light said just 125 cans were available during Thursday’s online drop, with another 125 scheduled to be released June 18. Customers are limited to one purchase each while supplies last.
The Tallerboy is an oversized canister designed to hold three full-sized Coors Light cans at once. Coors Light unveiled it earlier this week as part of a marketing campaign tied to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, pricing the item at $30.
What the Tallerboy is, and why it’s built for the pitch
Most drinkers know a “tallboy” as a bigger can. Coors Light’s version takes that concept literally by making the container taller than a standard tallboy while using it to store three regular Coors Light cans inside.
The company says the canister is meant to keep beers cold while also functioning as a novelty collectible for soccer fans. In a news release. Matt Carpenter. vice president of marketing at Coors Light. said: “The Tallerboy is everything ‘The Cooors Call’ stands for. brought to life in physical form.”.
That line points back to Coors Light’s “The Cooors Call” campaign, which features legendary Argentine soccer announcer Andrés Cantor and his signature “GOOOOAL” call. The Tallerboy brings that theme into a tangible product—one designed to be displayed as much as it’s used.
A broader race of World Cup beer merch drops
Coors Light isn’t the only Molson Coors brand leaning hard into World Cup excitement. Earlier this summer. Miller Lite introduced the limited-edition Miller Time MVP Matchball. an oversized soccer ball capable of holding up to 12 cans of beer. The collectible sold for $19.75. a nod to the year Miller Lite launched. and was released through a series of online drops ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Still, for Coors Light shoppers, the immediate question is straightforward: if the first batch disappeared before 1:30 p.m. ET, how fast will the next 125 go on June 18?
The Tallerboy’s $30 price and strict “one per customer” limit mean there won’t be much room for hesitation when the next online window opens.
