Clark and Boston spark Fever overtime win over Sky

Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston delivered back-to-back 30-point double-doubles as the Indiana Fever beat the Chicago Sky 114-106 in overtime at Gainbridge Fieldhouse after a 78-76 road win over the Washington Mystics.

The Indiana Fever needed to answer the moment the Chicago Sky threatened to take control. They did it the hard way—through regulation, through pressure, and then through overtime at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.

After a recent 1-3 stretch, Indiana snapped back with two straight wins. It began with a thrilling 78-76 win on the road over the Washington Mystics on Monday. Then came the statement performance back home: a 114-106 overtime victory over the Chicago Sky.

Caitlin Clark carried a major share of the load, finishing with 32 points on 8-for-18 shooting from the field. She wasn’t as sharp from distance, going 1-for-6 from beyond the arc, but she made every free throw she took—perfect at 15-for-15. Clark also finished with 10 assists in 40 minutes.

Aliyah Boston matched the intensity at the other end. Boston posted a game-high 34 points on 13-for-26 shooting, including two 3-pointers. She added 6-for-6 shooting at the free-throw line and pulled down 12 rebounds in 34 minutes.

The Fever’s offense didn’t just look productive—it looked historic. Clark and Boston’s double-doubles produced a first in WNBA history: they became the first pair of teammates to each record a 30-point double-double in the same game.

The night had drama built into it. The Fever held a six-point lead at the start of the fourth quarter, but Chicago fought through the closing stretch and pushed the game to overtime, where Indiana ultimately outlasted its opponent.

With the win, the 7-5 Fever now turn their focus to the next challenge. Indiana will try to make it three straight victories on Saturday against the Connecticut Sun at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.

  1. Wait so Fever beat Sky AND Clark had perfect free throws?? That’s kinda wild. Also Boston getting 34 like that makes me think Chicago just forgot how to guard.

  2. First pair of teammates to both have 30-point double doubles?? So like… both had double doubles and they were 30 points each? I’m confused how that’s different from normal stats but anyway that’s impressive. Overtime though means they probably choked in the 4th right? Like they had a lead then it flipped.

  3. I don’t get why they keep saying “historic” like it just happened yesterday. WNBA’s been around forever. Clark 1-for-6 from three and still won… so free throws carrying her is basically the whole story, right? Chicago pushing it to OT sounds like coaching issues to me, not just “drama.”
