Chipolo x Secrid Miniwallet Trackable review: smart wallet is almost impossible to lose

This collaboration between Chipolo and Secrid merges advanced Bluetooth tracking with premium leather craftsmanship to create a wallet that is nearly impossible to lose.

I’m a huge fan of affordable Bluetooth object finders from firms such as Apple, Chipolo and Pebblebee.. They have soared in popularity in recent years and some people even track their children with Apple’s Find My app or services such as Life360.. I’ve previously reviewed the Chipolo Card , which is an excellent wallet (and other objects) finder that is wirelessly rechargeable.. It has a super loud 110dB siren, an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, and is future-proof with Bluetooth 6.0 and Channel Sounding.. Google’s Find Hub does not support the latter precision finding feature yet, but it’s likely that it will at

some point.. The battery lasts a full year from a single charge and you can recharge it using any Qi wireless charger.. Chipolo’s app adds even more functionality to Card through the firm’s app.. You can get left-behind alerts if you walk away from the tracker, an essential tool if your tracker is slotted inside a wallet.. You can also reverse-find your phone by ringing it using the Card’s button, customise the tracker’s ringtones and

volume levels, and use the button as a camera shutter remote.. I’ve not used a Secrid wallet until now but the firm’s products are widely available in Irish stores such as Brown Thomas and Arnotts.. Their patented mechanism allows you to slide out your cards in one motion, while the aluminium casing protects your cards from bending and stops RFID and NFC theft.. Secrid is a small company which admirably employs 150 people with disabilities

to assemble its products.. The new Chipolo x Secrid Miniwallet Trackable can house up to nine cards.. The perfectly stitched 21 mm x 65 mm x 102 mm leather wallet comes with a custom card enclosure cutout for the Chipolo Card that rings 3dB louder here than in other wallets.. The Card’s loudness can reach up to 110dB, incidentally, so you’ll find it easy to hear even in busy environments such as pubs or concerts..

A debossed button on the outer part of the wallet aligns perfectly with Chipolo Card’s button .. With the card inside the wallet and the wallet completely closed, you can double-tap the button to ring your phone.. It’s an outstanding feature.. There is extra storage for a few cash notes but this flimsy attachment actually takes away from the premium feel of the wallet and doesn’t store much cash.. That’s my only gripe with this

otherwise top notch collaboration from Chipolo and Secrid that was designed and manufactured in the EU.. Chipolo x Secrid Miniwallet Trackable costs €120 and is available in two colours including a classic black and the second available in a dark blue and light blue combo with orange lever on chipolo.net , and Amazon ..
