Celebrity Cruises adds five Captain’s Club milestone tiers
Celebrity Cruises has expanded its Captain’s Club loyalty program with five new milestone levels that kick in June 11. The changes add perks between Elite Plus and Zenith, and introduce two new “Double Zenith” and “Triple Zenith” recognition levels above the c
On a cruise line built on rituals—embracing the same dining room. spotting the same familiar faces—loyalty programs matter because they translate habit into tangible reward. Starting June 11. Celebrity Cruises is giving its most frequent cruisers more chances to earn upgrades on the way to the line’s Zenith status. and even after they reach it.
Celebrity’s Captain’s Club loyalty program will be expanded with five new milestone levels designed for members accumulating 1. 500. 2. 250. 3. 000. 6. 000 and 9. 000 Club Points. The update fills what the program has long left missing between its Elite Plus and Zenith tiers. while also “gilding” the experience for travelers who have already achieved Zenith.
The shift matters because Captain’s Club Elite Plus status is reached at 750 points. but Zenith doesn’t arrive until 3. 000 points. With the new milestone markers. there are now clear payoff moments along that stretch—points that reflect cabin category and cruise length. where higher-category staterooms and longer sailings earn points faster.
For Elite Plus members moving through the new ladder, Celebrity is placing perks at the 1,500- and 2,250-point milestones. At 1. 500 points. members will receive 480 minutes of premium Wi-Fi. a 20% discount on specialty dining. a complimentary photo. and a surprise in-room amenity. At 2,250 points, the free Wi-Fi allowance increases to 720 minutes, and the dining discount rises to 25%. Members also get two photos and another surprise amenity. and where available they can access Extend Your Stay—Celebrity’s late checkout program that allows guests to remain onboard after standard disembarkation time.
The biggest headline perk at the top of this expanded structure is still tied to Zenith. One of the most iconic rewards for reaching Zenith status at 3. 000 points is a complimentary seven-night Bermuda or Caribbean cruise in a Veranda stateroom. Now, the 3,000-point milestone sailing also comes with a 35% specialty dining discount, three complimentary photos, and another surprise amenity.
Above Zenith, Celebrity is also adding two new recognition levels. Guests who reach 6. 000 points in the program—dubbed the “Double Zenith” milestone—will receive all benefits of the 3. 000-point tier plus a complimentary specialty lunch on embarkation day of each sailing. a specialty dinner during the milestone sailing. and a bottle of Champagne delivered to celebrate the loyalty achievement.
At 9. 000 points. “Triple Zenith” members will receive the same complimentary seven-night Bermuda or Caribbean cruise as Zenith. but with an upgrade from a Veranda stateroom to a Sky suite. That higher tier also brings access to suite-exclusive amenities. and Triple Zenith members receive all benefits from both the 6. 000-point and 3. 000-point milestones.
Taken together. the program update makes a practical promise: more frequent moments to cash in points on the way up—and more layered celebration once guests arrive at the top. The timing aligns with Royal Caribbean Group’s broader push to expand loyalty benefits across its three main cruise brands—Royal Caribbean. Celebrity and Silversea Cruises.
Earlier this year. the company introduced Points Choice. letting members in its loyalty programs choose where their points go: Celebrity’s Captain’s Club. Royal Caribbean’s Crown and Anchor Society. or Silversea’s Venetian Society. That change followed a status-match program that aligns tier recognition across the group’s cruise lines.
For Captain’s Club loyalists, June 11 is a clear marker: between Elite Plus and Zenith, the wait gets shorter—and for those already at the top, the celebration gets bigger.

So they’re basically selling more “tiers” to get people to spend more, right? 480 minutes of wifi sounds like a joke lol.
I don’t get it, Zenith is 3,000 points but they’re adding like 1,500 and 2,250 milestones? That’s just more steps to the same status. Also why is everything written like “double zenith” sounds made up.
Wait, “Double Zenith” and “Triple Zenith” means you get the Wi-Fi forever or what? I saw 720 minutes and figured that’s per day or something, but then it says cruise length earns points faster??
Celebrity being obsessed with points again. My cousin said they already got Zenith so now they’ll get more “gilding” (whatever that means). The article says cabin category and cruise length earn points, so if you book a balcony you just climb faster… wild that it takes 9,000 points to do “Triple Zenith” though.
