Canada vs – Dayne St. Clair and Canada will play Morocco in the Round of 16 at Houston Stadium on Saturday, July 4. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET, with broadcast options in English and Spanish.
Houston gets its knockout-stage moment this Saturday, July 4, when Canada and Morocco meet in the Round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
For Inter Miami CF goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair, the stakes are familiar and still personal: he’ll be part of Canada’s campaign as The Reds take on Morocco at Houston Stadium with kickoff set for 1 p.m. ET.
Fans will be able to follow the match live in English on FOX, and in Spanish on Telemundo, Peacock.
Canada’s place in the Round of 16 came the hard way. with a 1-0 win over South Africa in the Round of 32. The breakthrough arrived late—midfielder Stephen Eustáquio scored a winner in stoppage time to secure the historic result. St. Clair was available on the bench for that match but did not feature.
This is Canada’s first trip to the knockout stages at a FIFA World Cup. and the path there started in Group B. where the tournament co-hosts finished second with four points and a 1-1-1 record. Canada opened with a 1-1 draw against Bosnia and Herzegovina, taking the team’s first point at a World Cup. It then followed with a resounding 6-0 route of Qatar to claim its first win in tournament history.
Morocco. meanwhile. entered the knockout rounds on the back of a strong group and a sudden shift in the Round of 32. The African nation placed second in Group C with seven points, built through two wins and a draw. In the Round of 32. Morocco faced the Netherlands in a match that ended tied 1-1; the decision came in penalties. where Morocco won.
St. Clair’s World Cup story is also rooted in continuity. He earned a spot on Canada’s FIFA World Cup roster for a second consecutive edition after being part of the squad at Qatar 2022.
He debuted for Canada’s senior side in a Concacaf World Cup qualifying match in June 2021. playing the full 90 minutes and keeping a clean sheet in a 7-0 victory over Aruba. Since then, he has earned 20 total caps for The Reds. His international run includes appearances at the 2024 Copa América. two Concacaf Gold Cup tournaments. and the 2024-25 Concacaf Nations League.
What makes Saturday’s matchup feel different is how both teams arrived—one with a late, history-making goal, the other through penalties after a tie—while St. Clair’s World Cup presence continues in the background of Canada’s first-ever Round of 16 moment.

Canada finally in the knockout stages?? I’m shocked. St. Clair was on the bench last match right?
Houston Stadium? Isn’t that where they always play MLS? Any idea if FOX is gonna show it in 4K or is that just Peacock stuff. I’m just trying to watch for free lol.
Morocco won on penalties vs Netherlands so like… that means they can’t score? Or does penalties count as a real win. People keep saying “historic” but it’s still only 1-0 type vibes.
Dayne St. Clair sounds like he should be playing every game, not sitting there. Also Canada got second in their group with 1-1-1 and still made it, that’s crazy. I read somewhere that Bosnia game was 0-0? maybe I’m mixing it up but either way Morocco should’ve been done in regulation vs Netherlands. Saturday at 1pm ET… I’m gonna forget and watch highlights instead.
