Skidding Chatham-Kent Barnstormers blown out twice on road

They lost to the Welland Jackfish 20-4 Saturday after being shut out by the London Majors 10-0 Friday. Opponents are averaging almost 12.4 runs per game during the Barnstormers’ road losing streak. The Barnstormers reach the season’s midpoint Tuesday when they host the first-place Majors (16-7) at 7:35 p.m. at Fergie Jenkins Field at Rotary Park. Dakota Parsons (0-2) allowed five runs, four earned, in two innings. Ayden VanEnkevort gave up four runs in one inning in his CBL debut, then Dylan Kints allowed four more runs in 2.1 innings and Bo Buckley gave up seven runs, six earned, in 1.1 innings. Spencer Morin had three hits, including two doubles, for the Barnstormers. Austin Gurney ran his hitting streak to 17 straight games with two hits and two RBIs. Evan Morrison also had two hits.
