The former CNN anchor said she craves more intimacy when it comes to relationships.

In her latest post on her Substack, “Unraveling, with Brooke Baldwin,” the 47-year-old media personality talks about what she wants out of relationships, mere weeks after she talked about how she loves sex but turned down casual encounters with four different men.

‘I love being deeply known’

“I don’t want less intimacy. I want more,” she wrote in the post, which was published Sunday. I love being deeply known, and knowing someone deeply in return. Instead, I crave spaciousness — in partnership or out of it.”

When she opened up about her sex life last month, Baldwin revealed she had turned down a number of men, including ones who “used to run a country” and another who “literally flew in just to take me to dinner.”

In the July 19 post, she was also honest about her carnal desires.

“And y’all know … I love sex. If I may be so bold, I’m pretty damn good at it,” Baldwin wrote.

While casual sex is “very much on the table,” she said that at this stage in life she’s choosing not to have it, rather preserving her energy for other priorities.

Travelling alone puts herself first

Baldwin said she wrote the blog post on her way home from Paris, which she called a solo trip.

She discussed maintaining her independence and boundaries while in a relationship, stating she has a tendency to nurture those around her to the point where she ignores her own needs.

Baldwin said she loves to give, but if she’s “not careful, it’s also one of the quickest ways I leave myself.”

The ex-news anchor said solo travel has helped her recognize a pattern that she doesn’t have to worry about putting someone else first or enforcing boundaries.

“When I travel alone, I don’t have to work at putting myself first,” Baldwin wrote, per the New York Post. “Trust me, I know how to set one. But at age 47, I’m still learning how to hold it when someone I love doesn’t want me to.”

Baldwin wrote that she returned from the Paris trip with a new love for boundaries, stating they’re not a means of shutting a partner out, but as a way to protect herself.

She said she’s trying to figure out how to maintain the same level of independence when she travels versus when she’s physically close to someone she loves.

Baldwin was previously married to British producer James Fletcher. She filed for divorce in 2023 after nearly five years together.

In a July blog post, Baldwin wrote that she believed she was going to marry someone else six months prior.

“Six months ago, I thought I was going to marry someone this year (and I was excited about it),” she wrote.

“Heartbreak has its own timeline.”
