The timing of the runway debut comes as their mother, Britney Spears, navigates fresh legal trouble and a new round of recovery. Spears voluntarily entered rehab treatment following her recent arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence outside of Los Angeles County.
According to the California Highway Patrol. Spears was arrested on March 4 after police spotted her driving a black BMW 430i “erratically” at high speeds on the highway in Ventura County. A CHP spokesperson previously said Spears allegedly showed “signs of impairment” and submitted to a series of field sobriety tests.
She pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor charge on May 4. The court placed her on 12 months of summary probation, required her to pay multiple fines, and sent her to a three-month first offender DUI program.
Afterward, Spears posted what she described as optimism in a May 9 Instagram entry. She wrote that she was “so damn thankful to my friends and so many new beautiful people I have met through my spiritual journey.” She added. “All a blessing in disguise. ” and said. “I still have to learn how to be kind to myself and the way I speak to myself… It’s a never-ending journey and sometimes I just stop. look up and say. wow God I think that was you. and smile on!!!!”.
