Brad Pitt joins ‘Isle of Man’ set as TT filming begins

Brad Pitt has been seen on the set of Amazon MGM Studios’ motorcycle race film “Isle of Man,” with cameras rolling as the real Isle of Man TT unfolds. The movie, produced through Pitt’s Plan B and led by director Reid Carolin, stars Channing Tatum and Eve Hews
Brad Pitt didn’t step onto the Isle of Man TT to watch it from a distance. On Thursday. he mingled with fans at the race’s main grandstand and lingered long enough around Italian rider Andrea Majola’s paddock to fully immerse himself in the atmosphere of the event. according to a press release from Majola’s team.
By the same week that the TT is running. cameras have started rolling on the Amazon MGM Studios motorcycle race movie “Isle of Man.” The production is being directed by Reid Carolin. with Pitt’s Plan B among the producers. alongside Channing Tatum and Carolin’s Free Association. and Entertainment 360’s Guymon Casady and Jason Keller.
Filming on the small Irish Sea island has been underway for roughly a week. That timing matters because the TT is not just famous—it is infamous for its danger. The race traces its heritage back to 1907. when road racing was outlawed in England and racers found refuge on the Isle of Man. A single lap of the course runs 37.7 miles across the island’s road systems. taking riders through country lanes and city streets at speeds that can reach up to 200 mph.
For motorcyclists, the stakes are written into the history. Since 1903, there have been more than 150 deaths during the race or its practices, including five in 2022.
The film’s cast includes Channing Tatum and Eve Hewson, and it reportedly also features Ciarán Hinds, May Calamawy, Ruaridh Mollica and Éanna Hardwicke. Carolin wrote the script with Jason Keller, known for “Ford v Ferrari,” and Bryan Johnson.
There’s also a second project feeding off the same racing world. The “Isle of Man” film is part of a broader deal between the producers and Amazon MGM Studios that includes a behind-the-scenes docuseries titled “The Greatest Race on Earth,” shot during the 2024 Isle of Man TT.
For Pitt, the collision of movie set and real TT isn’t just scheduling—it puts the production in the middle of a living, brutal sporting tradition, one that has carried both refuge and risk across more than a century.
