Bodycam shows Dianna Russini never FaceTimed an NFL coach
bodycam shows – A full bodycam video of Dianna Russini’s February traffic stop shows no FaceTime call to any NFL head coach—contradicting her earlier claim on a Stugotz and Company radio segment. The seven-minute, 10-second recording is now posted in full and includes her exp
The officer walks up to Dianna Russini’s car, and her explanation starts fast. “I’m an NFL reporter, and I just broke that Sean McDermott got fired from the Bills,” she says. “And that I what I was just sending to send [sic], a tweet. I was gonna pull over, because I have to make calls.”
The details matter now because the bodycam video of the traffic stop has been posted in full, showing what Russini’s radio story did not. At no point in the seven minute, 10 second video does it show a FaceTime call to any NFL head coach.
Russini’s claim had been that she did FaceTime a head coach for help getting out of a ticket. She made that account during a February segment with the Stugotz and Company radio show. That anecdote later found its way into the opening of last week’s lengthy article in the New York Times. her former employer.
The video now posted by Adam Herbets of the Center Square includes the entire traffic stop. After the officer approaches, Russini tells him she needed to “make calls,” adding, “I know you don’t care, but I just wanted you to know my reason why.”
The officer responds that she was “on your phone for a while” and says, “I understand you’ve got a job.” Russini then brings up a specific name: “You know who I was on the phone with? Brian Daboll. He wants the job.”
She pivots from league news to team talk, asking whether the officer is a fan of the Giants or Jets. “I’m actually — I’m not a fan of either,” the officer says. When Russini asks what team he supports, she gets the answer: “I’m a Vikings fan, unfortunately.”
Russini then shows the officer her phone. In that moment, the exchange on her phone is tied to Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell through a text exchange, not a FaceTime call. The recording also includes Russini adding, regarding the Vikings, “Their quarterback sucks.”
After returning to his vehicle, the officer comes back and tells her, “I’m gonna cut you a break on the cellphone. I understand your job requires you to be on the phone a lot. Just try to wait ‘til you get home, OK?” Then the stop ends.
The sequence is straightforward: Russini says she was on the phone with Brian Daboll. she asks the officer about his team and reveals she’s a Vikings fan “unfortunately. ” and she shows the officer her phone with a text exchange involving Kevin O’Connell. What the video does not show—despite her earlier radio claim—is any FaceTime call to an NFL head coach.
