The footage, released by Collin County court officials, captures officers detaining Anthony in Frisco, Texas. As the video unfolds, Anthony can be heard crying while saying, “He put his hands on me. I told him not to. He put his hands on me.” An officer then checks his pockets. asks for Anthony’s name. school. and grade. and places him into the back of a police vehicle.
Alongside the body-cam release, newly surfaced case photos include an image of the knife investigators recovered in connection with the stabbing. Another photo shows Austin Metcalf’s injury after the incident.
An audio recording from the 911 call after the attack has also been shared. The caller submitted the call at 10:02 a.m. on April 2, 2025. During the call. the person tells the dispatcher that someone stabbed an athlete and that an Army veteran was applying pressure to the wound. The caller says Metcalf was losing consciousness and stopped breathing, then later reports that Austin appeared to be breathing again.
As the conversation continues, a man shouts, “Stay with me, Austin!” The caller then adds, “There’s a lot of blood. He’s not breathing.” The operator walks the caller through steps to control Austin’s bleeding. Another shout follows: “Come on Austin. Fight through, Austin.”
Anthony is already serving his 35-year prison sentence. As previously reported by The Shade Room. Karmelo Anthony began serving his sentence at the Wallace Pack Unit after a jury convicted him of first-degree murder on June 9. His legal team filed a notice of appeal on June 10, giving the defense a path to challenge the conviction.
