The 83-year-old former president spent his time on one target in particular: Trump’s second-term “vanity projects,” including the remodeling of the Reflecting Pool. Biden framed the projects as a kind of personal branding carried out at public expense.
“Embarrassing for the country,” Biden said of Trump. He then moved through a series of changes to buildings and institutions. returning again and again to the theme of ego.
