Avalanche trade Jack Drury to Predators in swap

Avalanche trade – The Colorado Avalanche have traded Jack Drury to the Nashville Predators, with the deal sending multiple pieces in the other direction. Drury, 26, totaled 27 points last regular season and added three goals and two assists in 13 playoff games for Colorado.

When the Avalanche moved Jack Drury out of their orbit, it wasn’t just a roster tweak—it was a full reshaping of how both teams look at their next steps.

Drury, 26, finished last season with 27 points in 82 games for Colorado, tallying 10 goals and 17 assists. In the playoffs, he added three goals and two assists across 13 games. His NHL résumé sits at 102 career games, with 82 points made up of 30 goals and 52 assists.

Colorado’s path with him also has a clear timeline. Drury was drafted 42nd overall in 2018 by the Carolina Hurricanes, then spent parts of four seasons within their organization before being traded to the Avalanche in January 2025.

The move to Nashville comes as part of a larger swap that also pulls Bradley—24—into the Avalanche mix. Bradley played 42 games for the Colorado Eagles, the Avalanche’s AHL affiliate, in 2025-26, posting nine goals and three assists. He has played two NHL games in his career, both during the 2024-25 season.

For Nashville, the other incoming piece is Svechkov, 23, who played 70 games for the Predators in 2025-26 with four goals and 17 assists. The Russian was drafted 19th overall by Nashville in 2021 and has appeared in 122 career games with the team, totaling 34 points—12 goals and 22 assists.

Nashville also adds L’Heureux, 23, who split last season between the Predators and their NHL affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals. With Nashville, he posted four goals and one assist in 25 games, then produced 14 goals and 14 assists in 30 games with Milwaukee. The Montreal native was drafted 27th overall in 2021 and has nine goals and 11 points in 87 career NHL games.

The numbers tell most of the story, but they also point to why the trade carries weight for both sides: Colorado is giving up a playmaking center/forward with recent playoff production, while Nashville is taking on a set of players who bring a mix of NHL minutes and AHL upside.

Put them side by side and the sequence is clear—Drury’s immediate impact with the Avalanche gets Nashville’s full attention. while Colorado’s end of the deal includes Bradley’s AHL production with a connection to the Avalanche system and another pipeline shot via NHL experience from L’Heureux and Svechkov.
