For anyone who’s been waiting to hit repeat on a new hook, ATEEZ just made it easy.
On June 26, the K-pop group released GOLDEN HOUR: Part. 5. a five-track mini-album led by the title song “BAD.” The release lands with a confident lineup—“MAMACITA. ” “TOXIN. ” “Fallin’. ” and “Body” complete the set—and it comes right after the group spent last week building momentum with a cinematic trailer that set the tone for their new era and its story.
The excitement didn’t stop with the album drop. On Friday, ATEEZ unveiled the full music video for “BAD,” bringing the era to life with the group’s dancing and high-concept scenes. The video also includes a guest appearance by Hollywood actress Chase Infiniti, known for “Presumed Innocent.”
What makes this rollout feel like more than a standard comeback is how tightly it’s been packaged as a world. HONGJOONG and MINGI, as part of the group’s tradition, contributed to the writing of all five tracks. The album itself dips through hip-hop. dance. alt pop. and Latin tinges—stylistic turns that match the story-driven energy the trailer promised.
After winning the grand prize at last week’s Seoul Music Awards—something ATEEZ called another achievement—the group is already looking outward. They’re taking the newest sounds on the road starting with a first-time live performance of “BAD” at BST Hyde Park in London on June 28.
The calendar keeps widening from there. ATEEZ will also perform at Rock in Roma in Rome on July 8, at Istanbul Festivali in Istanbul on August 14, and at SOUND IN COLORS in Silesia, Poland, on August 15-16.
There’s even more than festival stages on the way: ATEEZ will take the stage for a special performance of “BAD” on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” on July 1.
