AMBER Alert issued for toddler and infant abducted

An AMBER Alert was issued for two children taken from a Saratoga Springs home in Utah County. Authorities say the suspect is 46-year-old Dane Stephen Richman, and they are urging the public to look for a black Toyota Camry with a Utah plate number A561HL.

SALT LAKE CITY — Saturday started like any other day in Saratoga Springs, until law enforcement issued an AMBER Alert for two children believed to be in danger after they were taken from their home.

The alert was issued for Wesley Dane Richman, a 10-month-old, and Will Thomas Richman, a one-year-old. Officials say the children were taken from the home by suspect Dane Stephen Richman, 46.

Authorities are asking the public to move quickly because they believe the children may be facing imminent danger of serious harm or death.

In the description of why they’re so concerned, officials pointed to the suspect’s state and circumstances. They noted that Richman has been seriously depressed, selling possessions, facing financial stress, and abandoned his home.

Richman is described as a white man with brown hair and green eyes. He is described at 195 pounds and 6 feet 2 inches tall.

Police also shared details about the vehicle they believe could be involved: a “newer model” black Toyota Camry with a Utah plate number A561HL. Officials said the car may have a temporary tag.

The children were described as just over two feet tall, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Utah AMBER Alerts are released when law enforcement believes a child may have been abducted and is in imminent danger of serious harm or death. The alerts are sent so the public can use the information to help law enforcement locate the child, or children, at risk.

  1. Why does it say the suspect is 46 and also Richman like they’re related? I’m confused. Also black Camry with temp tag… isn’t that basically every other car in Utah? Hope someone recognizes it.

  2. Man they said he was seriously depressed and selling stuff, so like… if they knew, why wasn’t he watched or something? Seems like a mental health failure. Not trying to blame but come on, this stuff always ends up like this.

  3. AMBER Alerts are scary but I always wonder how many people actually look for the right plate. A561HL sounds made up lol. If it’s a newer black Toyota Camry with a Utah plate and maybe a temp tag, then what color is the tag?? Just seems like too much to track, but I’m praying they’re okay.
