Amazon Contractor Drives Over Lawn to Deliver

A Corydon, Indiana doorbell camera captured an Amazon contractor driving over a freshly cut lawn to drop off a package on June 21, triggering yard damage and a response from Amazon to repair it.
For a homeowner in Corydon, Indiana, the delivery started like any other day—until the doorbell camera showed it wasn’t.
On Sunday. June 21. an Amazon contractor was filmed driving a car over a customer’s freshly cut lawn to reach a front porch and drop off a package. The video shows the driver bypassing the house’s driveway and sidewalk. pulling up onto the yard. delivering the item. and then making a U-turn before driving away.
When Elisha Magill first saw the footage, she said she was stunned.
“We were completely shocked when we first saw the footage. At first, we were frustrated and couldn’t believe what had happened,” Magill said. “But after the initial surprise wore off, we found ourselves laughing about it because the situation was so unexpected and bizarre.”
Magill told Storyful that the driver delivered her package by crossing the lawn rather than using the established path to the house. After the initial shock, she said the moment felt bizarre enough that she and others could eventually laugh.
She also said she and the company began talking about what would happen next. Magill told Storyful that she was in contact with Amazon about the incident and that the company offered to repair the damage to the yard.
By the time the situation surfaced more widely, Amazon had confirmed the contractor would not make further deliveries.
In an emailed statement. Amazon spokesperson Leigh Anne Gullett said the company holds its delivery partners to “high standards” and described the actions shown in the video as “clearly unacceptable.” She said Amazon had connected with the customer “to make things right. ” adding that the delivery partner is no longer delivering packages for the company.
“We hold delivery partners to high standards, and the actions shown in this video are clearly unacceptable. We’ve connected with the customer to make things right, and the delivery partner is no longer delivering Amazon packages,” Gullett said.
The sequence captured in the video left little room for doubt about what happened on that porch and lawn. The driver entered the yard to complete the drop-off, then left after a U-turn—leaving behind damage that the homeowner says Amazon agreed to address.

Doorbell cams really ruin the whole vibe lol. But yeah that lawn got wrecked.
I don’t get why they’d just drive over it like that?? If people can’t follow directions, how is any job safe. Amazon should’ve fired them on the spot.
Maybe the contractor *had* to because the driveway was blocked? Like could’ve been a truck or something. Not saying it’s ok, but these stories always leave stuff out and the camera angle is everything.
Honestly I bet Amazon didn’t really repair anything, they just said they would. They say “made things right” all the time but then it turns into a runaround. Also why is the driver doing a U-turn on a lawn like that??
