Air Jordan 1 “Garden” Revives Jordan’s 1998 MSG Moment

Jordan Brand is turning a defining New York night into wearable tribute: the Air Jordan 1 Low “Garden” commemorates Michael Jordan’s last game at Madison Square Garden as a Chicago Bull, built around the same “Chicago” colorblocking and new rose-covered detail
When New York City is still riding the buzz of a Knicks championship, Jordan Brand is looking backward—pinpointing a different hoops night that still feels electric.
The Air Jordan 1 Low “Garden” is being made to commemorate Michael Jordan’s last game at Madison Square Garden as a Chicago Bull. That 1998 game, which was highlighted in “The Last Dance,” ended with Jordan scoring 42 points in a win. It also marked a specific shoe moment: Jordan broke out a pair of the Air Jordan 1 High “Chicago. ” a shoe that at the time was 13 years old and significantly outdated in its technology.
Visually, the “Garden” build follows the same colorblocking as the “Chicago” colorway. The low-top edition adds rose-woven overlays in black and red. On the lateral side. the black Swoosh is finished with gold trim. matching the heel’s Wings logo and the lower three rows of eyelets. On the tongue. a blue and orange striped lace loop functions as a nod to the team that calls the Garden home. Inside. the insoles are red. with a blue Nike Air logo on the right shoe and an orange Nike Air logo on the left.
“The Last Dance” also captures why this part of the story matters to Jordan himself. Jordan confirmed Madison Square Garden was his favorite place to play. and he said his feet were bleeding at halftime because of his Air Jordan 1s. Even with that. he chose to keep playing in the shoes he wore in his first game at MSG. because he was playing so well.
Now the “Garden” edition is arriving with its own timing. The Air Jordan 1 Low “Chicago. ” released late last year. is already available at a discount through many channels. but Jordan Brand’s decision to highlight this alternate “Garden” interpretation could make it harder to find once release day hits. The last time the high-top counterparts dropped was in 2022 with faux-aged detailing under the “Lost & Found” moniker.
The Air Jordan 1 Low “Garden” is scheduled to release Sept. 26 through the SNKRS app and select third-party retailers. Pricing is set at $140.

So they’re just remaking the Chicago 1s but calling it Garden? Cool I guess.
I can’t believe they’re making yet another Jordan 1. Like my feet already hurt from regular life, now I gotta bleed in rose details too?
Wait his last game at MSG as a Bulls player was 1998 right? I remember that but I thought it was like a playoff thing and not regular. Also the article says the shoe was 13 years old?? That math feels off but whatever, I want the colorway.
“Discount through many channels” sounds like it’s already selling out or already sitting, idk. Sept 26 on SNKRS like every other drop, $140, and people will still flip them instantly. Rose-woven overlays and gold trim… honestly the Garden thing is kinda random, but the MSG story is cool so I’m probably gonna try to get them anyway.
