TMZ has released a new series, “Celebrity Crime Scene: Marilyn Monroe,” set to air Sunday at 8 PM ET on FOX. The show argues that the crime scene was staged and that people may have gone to great lengths to cover up what really happened to the biggest movie star in the world.
The program points to “massive holes” in the official cause of death—described in the show as probable suicide. It also claims it uses never-before-seen A.I. to recreate Marilyn’s house, with three crime scene investigators highlighting what they see as gaps in the account. At the middle of the show’s theory are two relationships. Marilyn was having affairs with President John F. Kennedy and Attorney General Robert Kennedy at the same time, the series says. The show also revisits what Marilyn allegedly told friends about the depth of her access. She reportedly said that JFK and RFK shared national secrets with her. including JFK’s feelings about the morality of the Atomic bomb. She also claimed JFK told her about Project Moon Dust. an Air Force program meant to recover fallen space debris. stored at secret locations—including Area 51.
That web of claims flows into the FBI file the show says existed. It states that FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover had a file on Marilyn, believing she was a Communist sympathizer who was threatening to compromise national security.
With the staged-scene claim, the “probable suicide” dispute, and the idea that the FBI and CIA were pulled in, the show leaves viewers with the question it frames as the most urgent of all: did the FBI and CIA have a hand in Marilyn’s death?
