Jules Neale removes Lachie tattoo, moves on in Perth

Jules Neale has had a tattoo tribute to estranged husband Lachie Neale removed at a laser clinic in Perth, weeks after she split from the AFL star. Her latest step comes as she says she’s focused on finding a “forever home” and rebuilding her career as a haird

Jules Neale sat in a laser removal clinic in Perth and watched her former marriage ink start to come off—an unmistakable, physical move into a “next chapter” after she and Lachie Neale split.

The 36-year-old, who previously had the tattoo placed on the outside of her hand, is now getting the tribute removed with laser treatment. She shared the process in an Instagram video, where she showed the start of the removal after dedicating the ink to her estranged husband.

The procedure was carried out by Bramis Perth. who posted on Instagram with a message that appeared aimed at the situation. “Getting rid of what no longer serves us… even it if was meant to be ‘permanent,’” the clinic wrote. In a follow-up caption. they added: “We’re helping @Jules_Neale say goodbye to the ink and hello to the next chapter.” Bramis Perth also wrote. “Getting rid of what no longer serves us” in the post’s wording.

Neale, meanwhile, showed appreciation in the comments, writing, “You guys are the best,” along with a “plethora of different heart and love emojis.”

The split itself goes back to November 2025, and Neale’s removal of the tattoo is the latest in a series of visible steps as she continues to move away from her relationship.

Since the breakdown, she has returned to Perth to be closer to family with their two children: four-year-old daughter Piper and one-year-old son Freddie. She said she moved back to find her “forever home” while restarting her career as a hairdresser.

She told News Corp: “It’s the beginning of our next chapter.” She added that she and the kids are still living with her parents for now. calling it “really nice.” Neale said they have been “a huge support. ” helping with the children so she can get on with her plans. including attending “Fashion Week.”.

That family support has also shaped the milestones she missed while living in Brisbane with Lachie. Back in May, she spent Mother’s Day with her mum, brothers, and their wives and kids. Neale described how close it feels to be back in Perth. saying: “It’s so nice to be close to them again and seeing the cousins grow up together.”.

She said she had “missed all the births and baby showers” but was now “here now for the birthdays and everything to come.”

The relationship timeline also ties into why Neale’s public distancing has been so sharp. Jules and Lachie met while Lachie was playing for the Fremantle Dockers before switching to the Queensland team in 2019.

Tensions between Neale and the Lions have spilled onto social media as well. Last month, she hit out at Brisbane to defend Piper after the club made her the focus of a post. Piper was front and centre as Lachie reached his 300-game milestone against Melbourne on April 19. with her father holding her while she burst into tears as the team prepared to run through their banner before kickoff.

Brisbane shared a clip of the moment on Instagram with the caption “Our shy queen,” and Neale reacted in the comments, writing: “She’s not shy. She’s scared and it’s not funny.”

The tattoo removal in Perth now lands with the same clarity as her other changes—relocating back to her hometown, rebuilding her life around her children, and openly marking that she is done keeping part of her past permanently on her skin.

  1. Wait so she had his name on her hand?? I mean respect for moving on but isn’t laser removal super painful?? Also love that she’s doing her hair career again.

  2. So the clinic said “getting rid of what no longer serves us” like it’s about the ink or the marriage or whatever. I saw somewhere it was like a permanent tattoo anyway so why bother if it’s coming off already? Feels like PR.

  3. I don’t get why people get tattoos for someone they aren’t even with anymore. But I guess if she split in Nov then yeah… get it off. The article says it’s on the outside of her hand like that’s gonna look weird while it fades. Also “forever home”?? like she’s moving houses not just relationships. Anyway wish her luck with the kids and hair stuff.
