Zlatan’s Late-Night Test Cracks Open His Real Views

On FOX’s late-night appearance with James Corden, Zlatan Ibrahimović went through a lie detector test—and the results and his answers set off immediate reactions from Thierry Henry, Alexi Lalas, and Rebecca Lowe.
People can get more honest in the late hours of the night. Zlatan Ibrahimović seemed to lean into that idea fast—right up until a lie detector test started turning his swagger into something else: measurable contradictions and hard, personal takes.
During an appearance on FOX’s “After Hours with James Corden,” Ibrahimović was put through the test while discussing everything from his self-image to his opinions about other voices on the FOX Sports soccer panel.
The lie detector test determined that Ibrahimović lied about being the “most handsome” man to play in the FIFA World Cup. It also flagged that he lied when he framed his “self-confidence” as “a mask” for his true character. and when he claimed to “respect[] the opinions of all” FOX Sports analysts. The tension wasn’t subtle—especially not for the panel names now sitting across from his rhetoric: Alexi Lalas and Thierry Henry were directly in the line of fire. with Rebecca Lowe also part of the discussion.
Then came the parts where he told the truth—at least according to the test. Ibrahimović asserted that a FOX Sports soccer panel of four Zlatans would be better than one that includes Lalas. Henry. Lowe. and himself. He also said he feels he’s a better player than Henry. Norway star Erling Haaland. and England star Harry Kane.
Even off the pitch, the answers kept landing with a thud. The test also tied Ibrahimović to truths about his daily life and personal history: he doesn’t tip 20% in the United States. he hasn’t googled himself over the last week. and he admitted he hasn’t gotten over a 2010 feud with his former manager. Pep Guardiola.
One bright spot did make it through the noise. Ibrahimović said he genuinely enjoyed playing in MLS with the LA Galaxy from 2018–19.
And just when the chat looked like it was finding a groove, Ibrahimović also admitted that being on the air with James Corden is “beneath” him. The remark landed the way it was meant to—sharp, dismissive, and impossible to ignore.
On cue, Henry, Lalas, and Lowe responded to Ibrahimović’s takes. Thierry Henry joked it was “all love.” Rebecca Lowe didn’t let the moment stretch out comfortably for him; she tested his anchor skills by having him toss to a commercial break.
By the end of the appearance. the question wasn’t only what Ibrahimović “passed” or “failed.” It was how the rapport between these four—Zlatan. Henry. Lalas. and Lowe—would hold up once the tournament conversation keeps moving. and his late-night certainty is met with their own reactions. right there in front of the camera.

So wait the lie detector said he’s not the most handsome? 🤔
Lie detector tests are basically vibes lol. But also I’m not shocked Zlatan would talk like everyone else is beneath him. The tipping thing?? 20% in the US is the law apparently.
I don’t get how they can say he lied about being a “mask” or whatever, like what does that even mean on a detector. And the part where he says a panel of four Zlatans would be better… bro that’s just vanity, not evidence. Also he hasn’t googled himself? that’s either cool or sad, can’t tell.
Rebecca Lowe throwing it to commercial like she was the only one acting normal 💀. I feel like Thierry Henry would’ve roasted him even without the test. And the Haaland/Kane stuff… he’s always been arrogant but I guess the detector agrees? Idk I heard lie detectors don’t even work on celebrities anyway.
