LOS ANGELES — After seven international stops, the “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” global press tour and fashion extravaganza finally swung into Los Angeles, where co-stars Tom Holland and Zendaya stunned yet again — This time at the Hollywood premiere on Monday, July 27.
Spider-Man Holland, 30, who recently referred to Zendaya, 29, as “my wife,” arrived on the red carpet more than an hour before his “Spider-Man” costar and real-life partner, who plays Peter Parker’s longtime love MJ in the franchise.
It was worth the wait.
At 7:34 local time, as Holland was deep into red carpet interviews, a sprinter van rolled up to the premiere. Its sliding door flew open, revealing Zendaya standing and perfectly poised like some kind of fashion action movie.
Zendaya stepped out with stylist Law Roach in a stunning black gown from Ashi Studio’s Fall 2026 collection. The “The Odyssey” and “Spider-Man” star, who has repeatedly stunned on the red carpets of both films’ global tours, wore a billowing black train and a plunging neckline with sculptural detailing that mimicked a spider’s front appendages.

Everyone was at this premiere for the soon-to-be box office smash, which is set for release in theaters nationwide on Friday, July 31.
“Dune” franchise director Denis Villeneuve, who will reunite with Zendaya in “Dune: Part Three,” tried to slip into the Hollywood theater unnoticed. “Black Panther” star Michael B. Jordan surprised everyone by striding down the red carpet, greeting the “Spider-Man” cast with Hollywood hugs while wearing a Spider-Man fan T-shirt.
Sadie Sink, who joins the cast from Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” walked the red carpet, though Marvel has kept her “Spider-Man” role under wraps.
Jon Bernthal, who reprises Frank Castle, aka the Punisher, in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” also stars as Menelaus in Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” alongside Tom Holland (Telemachus) and Zendaya (the goddess Athena).
Tough-talking Bernthal had no problem professing love for Holland.
“I can’t say enough about Tom,” Bernthal tells USA TODAY. “I’ve known him since I was 17 when we made audition tapes together. I can’t believe what he’s achieved and how far he’s come. I’m staggered by his achievements, but also happy to report that he is still exactly the same guy — hardworking, kind, loyal. I’m his biggest fan.”
Tom Holland keeps manifesting, has advice for lengthy press tours
Holland, ever the consummate professional, gave his personal advice for surviving arduous “Spider-Man” and “The Odyssey” media tours.
“Eat healthy, go to bed early, smile and wave,” Holland says.
As for Holland’s reputation for manifesting magic in his own life, that’s just how he rolls.
“I really believe in manifesting; I think it’s a real thing,” Holland says. “I’m so lucky in life that it seems like a lot of stuff I say in interviews comes true.”
But the global superstar declined to say what he’s manifesting next, which is bad news for Kalshi.
“I just don’t have the feeling yet,” Holland says. “There are things that I would love to do in my career. But until I have the feeling, I’ll keep those to myself.”
