For months, residents near Nancy Guthrie’s Tucson home complained that true crime streamers were showing up and disrupting the neighborhood. Then, on June 8, the behavior crossed a line that ended with arrests.
CriminalNetwork YouTuber Alexander Zabel Jr. and streamers Troy Lewis Bradshaw and Damian Todd Enderle were arrested after neighbors raised concerns. including an alleged public urination incident behind a tent. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said his department had tried to communicate with streamers and content creators frequenting the area. but it “didn’t work.”.
Zabel, 54, was cited on two counts of obstructing a highway or thoroughfare and one count of public nuisance. Bradshaw, 34, was cited on one count of public nuisance. Enderle, 46, was cited for public nuisance and was released.
While Enderle and Bradshaw were arrested in Guthrie’s neighborhood, Zabel was arrested at a home on Tucson’s east side.
Kevin Adger. a spokesperson for the Pima County Sheriff’s Department. said in an email that Sheriff Nanos will “no longer tolerate behavior that disrupts the community or violates the law.” Adger added that “effective immediately. individuals found in violation of the law may be cited and released on a first offense.” He said repeat offenders may be booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex on charges of public nuisance.
Sheriff Nanos used sharper language when discussing the situation publicly. In a story published Wednesday. June 10. Nanos told KVOA that his department has “extensively communicated” with streamers and creators frequenting the area “in order to help maintain order. with no luck.” He described the complaints as escalating into behavior that was “pretty egregious” and becoming “pretty scary. pretty frightful to the neighborhood.” He said he has the support of Pima County Attorney Laura Conover.
Conover said in a statement to KVOA that Nanos has been informed of “potential criminal charges available involving misdemeanor public nuisance citations.” She added that these cases “like all other cases must be thoroughly evaluated to see if they reach the threshold for prosecution in our office.”
When the arrests landed, the missing-person case remained unresolved. Nancy Guthrie has not been found, and law enforcement has emphasized that the search for the 84-year-old continues as an active investigation.
Nanos told People magazine in a May 13 interview that he thinks investigators are “getting closer” on answers.
Guthrie disappeared on Feb. 1 after authorities said she was taken against her will in the middle of the night. Her daughter, “Today” host Savannah Guthrie, and her family have continued urging fans and the public to contact authorities with any relevant information.
As months passed, the area around Guthrie’s home drew true crime fans and streamers, some livestreaming near her property. The sheriff’s department said deputies initially prohibited parking in the area and issued warnings. The department later posted no trespassing signs and issued citations, but it said violations continued despite those steps.
Law enforcement has not found Guthrie or identified a potential abductor, and officials said there have been no significant developments or breakthroughs in the investigation in months.
The sequence now leaves two separate realities tangled together: a search that has gone on for months without a breakthrough. and a neighborhood where livestreamers’ presence has drawn repeated complaints. After video footage surfaced of one of the three men urinating behind a tent. the sheriff’s department moved from warnings toward arrests and a stricter enforcement posture.
