Xbox Games Showcase set for June 7 at 1PM ET

The Xbox Games Showcase lands on Sunday, June 7 at 1PM ET, streamed on YouTube and Twitch—with American Sign Language translations on Twitch—and also on Facebook. Afterward, the event moves into a deep dive for Gears of War: E-Day.
Summer Game Fest is already in full swing, but Sunday has a different weight in gamers’ calendars. The Xbox Games Showcase is scheduled for Sunday, June 7 at 1PM ET—right in the middle of a week built for announcements.
If you plan to watch, the event will be streamed across multiple platforms. YouTube and Twitch will carry the Xbox channel broadcasts, and the Twitch stream includes American Sign Language translations. Xbox is also taking the social route, putting the stream on Facebook as well.
The showcase itself comes with a key expectation management note for anyone holding out for Playground Games’ reboot of Fable. That game’s release date has been postponed to February 2027. The delay is meant to give the project extra polish and to avoid the hype window surrounding the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI in November.
That postponement changes what viewers can realistically expect to leave with this weekend. Instead of a long look at Fable, the showcase is followed by a deep dive into Gears of War: E-Day—so the next major spotlight is aimed squarely at a different legacy Xbox franchise.
There’s also a second wave of anticipation hanging over the broader lineup: excitement for “new projects” after a rough 2025. alongside hopes—still unconfirmed here—of seeing release dates for projects announced last year. including There Are No Ghosts at the Grand and potentially more gameplay from Game Freak’s Beast of Reincarnation.
And for the kind of viewers who don’t just want trailers but also want hardware hints, there’s one possibility. Project Helix is reportedly set to begin shipping to studios in 2027, which would make any serious specs geared toward consumers feel early right now—if anything shows up at all.

So it’s June 7 at 1PM? Cool cool, but why they always do it when people have stuff going on lol.
I don’t even care about Gears, I just wanna see Fable. If Fable is February 2027 then this stream is literally pointless for me. Might as well call it the Gears commercial.
They postponed Fable because of GTA VI?? That sounds backwards, like GTA is gonna steal hype so they delay, but then they still do a showcase anyway? Also “Project Helix” shipping to studios in 2027… does that mean my Xbox is getting an update or a whole new console? I’m confused.
Facebook too? That’s how you know it’s gonna be big. Half the time those showcases are just CGI with weird dates, like “new projects” after a rough 2025 (what happened in 2025 again?) And American Sign Language on Twitch is nice but I still don’t know if they’ll actually show gameplay for anything besides Gears. Probably just trailers, as usual.
