Why NFL legend Marvin Harrison Sr. was at Brentwood Academy football game
Former Indianapolis Colts wide receiver and NFL Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison was in Brentwood to watch Brentwood Academy face St. Joseph’s Prep (Pennsylvania) in a TSSAA football game on Sept. 4.
St. Joseph’s Prep features Harrison’s son, Jett Harrison, who is the No. 1-ranked player in Pennsylvania from the 2028 class, according to 247Sports Composite. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound Ohio State commit is a five-star standout ranked as the No. 2 wide receiver in the country and No. 4 player overall.
It’s the season opener for St. Joseph’s while Brentwood Academy entered the game with a 1-1 record.
Jett Harrison’s older brother, Marvin Harrison Jr., was an Ohio State star who was the fourth overall pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals.
Marvin Harrison Sr. played 12 seasons in the NFL for the Colts after starring at Syracuse where he was a three-time All Big East player in the early 1990s.
He was key to the early success of Tennessee football legend Peyton Manning with the Colts. Harrison Sr. earned eight All Pro and eight Pro Bowl selections and won a Super Bowl title with the Colts in 2007. He retired from the NFL with more than 14,000 receiving yards and 128 touchdowns.
