Fans have a prevailing theory over why Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift might’ve named their dog Wendy.

Last month, DeuxMoi actually revealed the dog’s name is Wendy and today, the beautiful pup made her fashion campaign debut alongside her dog dad.

At the time DeuxMoi revealed the info, they also revealed that the dog might’ve been named after a character in the 1993 movie The Sandlot. Specifically, the character Wendy Peffercorn, played by Marley Shelton.

Travis Kelce previously spoke about Wendy Peffercorn on “New Heights”

“No, she was so hot!” Travis said in a spring 2025 episode of his New Heights podcast.

His brother Jason said, “I think she was just hot because she was the only woman at maturity they show the entire friggin’ movie besides the mom. If you’re comparing her to the catcher, yeah, of course she’s gonna be hot.”

Travis said, “You’re gonna watch it and be like, ‘Alright, she was hot.’ “

Jason then said, “We’re gonna judge you, actress that played Wendy Peffercorn,” while Travis added, “I already know you’re hot.”
