Whoopi Goldberg Sparks Debate Over America’s Leadership

The View hosts engage in a heated discussion regarding current national leadership, shifting from concerns over federal officials to metaphors about the country's strength.
The View host Whoopi Goldberg complained that the United States has been “de-balled” during an impassioned rant about having “no faith” in President Trump’s administration.. During a discussion on the show about FBI Director Kash Patel’s recent hearing, Goldberg admitted, “I have no faith in Kash Patel, I have no faith in Pete Hegseth.. I don’t believe in anybody running this country right now and that’s what makes me nervous.” She added, “It’s like, okay,
so who’s gonna take responsibility?” Goldberg then steered the conversation in an unexpected direction as she told her co-hosts, “We have been de-balled as a nation, I feel.” Sara Haines then chimed in to ask if Goldberg meant “castrated.” “I thought my description was just clear,” Goldberg said, adding, “I don’t have them but it’s the same thing.. But the idea that no one is in charge freaks me out.” Alyssa Farah Griffin seemed to
disagree.. “I think America still has its basketballs,” Griffin said, making a gesture with her hands.. “I just think we have some very struggling leaders and we deserve better.” Haines and Goldberg immediately questioned the gesture she made, with them both assuming she was implying a pair of breasts instead of basketballs.. “She went to breasts because she’s a new mom.. She’s nursing,” Goldberg quipped.. “Well, I think breasts might serve us better in the
universe now than balls anyways,” Haines joked in response.. The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
