What’s the weather in Philadelphia this week, why is it still raining?
More rain is on the way in Philadelphia this week, with meteorologists predicting a slight break before showers return by Wednesday.
While patchy fog replaces rain showers this morning in the city, chance thunderstorms are expected before 7 p.m., the National Weather Service is reporting.
Tuesday should serve as a break from the weather, with mostly sunny, clear skies and a high of 87 degrees expected to dip down to 70 by evening.
By Wednesday night, however, chance showers are expected to return and last into the weekend.

According to forecast discussions from the NWS, a series of cold fronts will move through the area this week, impacting the weather and precipitation.
Cold fronts this evening and Wednesday into Thursday are expected to result in shower and thunderstorm chances.
