During an appearance on the “Up & Adams Show” with Kay Adams, Skattebo discussed the relationship he’s developed with the 33-year-old receiver over the last few months. Skattebo even mentioned that he sometimes gives the older players advice.
“I talk to him here and there about keeping his head on straight… it doesn’t need to be one hand all the time… be OBJ, that will come.”

“I talk to him here and there about keeping his head on straight,” he said. “You know, as a young guy I can still help these older guys out.”
“He is ‘unc.’ He still thinks he is too years away from being unc,” Cam said. “I look at him every day. I call him old man at the facility. I’ve built a really good connection with ‘O,’ and I gave him a real big hug when he made the 53-man roster. We built a connection that has been really strong over the last couple of months.”
“I tell him every day, like, bro, I can’t believe you are my teammate.”
It’s another fun storyline surrounding a Giants offense with plenty of potential entering 2026. Beckham joins a receiving corps headlined by Malik Nabers, while Skattebo returns to the backfield alongside quarterback Jaxson Dart.
The biggest question is health. Skattebo is returning from the devastating ankle injury that ended his rookie season, while Nabers is working his way back from a torn ACL. Dart’s aggressive playing style also means keeping him healthy will be a major focus all season long.
If New York’s most important offensive players can stay on the field, Beckham’s return only makes the unit more interesting.
