When West Wilson and Amanda Batula step out together now. it doesn’t just come with nerves—it comes with a full-on internet storm. The 31-year-old opened up about the pressure during the Monday. May 25 episode of his “Show Me Something” podcast. admitting that going public has felt frightening amid the Summer House drama.
“Going out in public is kind of scary,” West said. He pointed to the sheer volume of posts spreading about him and Amanda, saying, “There have been so many f***ing stupid f***ing posts on the internet. Once it got to AI ones and s***, I was like, ‘OK, let’s talk about these.’”
West, who said he and Amanda are “doing our best” to maintain a normal relationship, then tackled several of the rumors that have been turning up online.
One of the most persistent speculations: that Amanda is “wearing all my clothes.” West shut down the claim while addressing it shirt by shirt. even calling out the viral image featuring Amanda and his striped shirt. “People do wear striped shirts,” he said. “People just post anything, and it works. A lot of people have been like, ‘She wears your clothes all the time.’ We actually do dress the same.”.
He also denied speculation that Amanda has been wearing wigs during their public outings.
The couple confirmed in late March that they’re more than friends after weeks of rumors, a romance that arrived after Amanda’s separation from fellow Summer House star Kyle Cooke. Amanda was also best friends with Ciara Miller, who dated West in 2023.
West’s responses didn’t stop there. During the May 25 podcast, he addressed another viral claim—that he was talking about setting up a Tom Sandoval redemption arc going forward. West pushed back hard.
“Knowing all my friends that I have a group chat with, they don’t know who the f*** Tom Sandoval is,” he said. “That is not what we talk about in our f***ing group text.” He added, “It’s not that crazy, it’s just, like, someone made up that they are in a group chat with me.”
The internet speculation has also reached outside the Summer House bubble. West addressed a rumor that he hooked up with Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Jenn Fessler. The claim went viral earlier this month after Ciara shared the allegations on social media.
West said Jenn “was pissed,” recounting, “Jenn made a video being like, ‘West is so nice. He’s not trying to hurt anyone, blah blah blah blah blah.’” He continued, “I don’t think [Ciara would] make it up, but I’m sure she believes it. That’s a crazy thing to just post.”
Jenn has kept insisting nothing happened. In an Instagram statement posted on May 9. she said. “In all seriousness. and while I can’t help but be a little flattered. it is not nice nor is it OK to post something categorically untrue and defamatory on social media. Regardless of whatever rumors or apparent ‘evidence’ led you to that conclusion, that is the definition of libel.”.
West’s main message was simple: he and Amanda are trying to live like a real couple in real life—but the barrage of posts, including AI-driven ones, has made even everyday public outings feel risky.
