We ordered Outback’s $55 bundle for four at home
Our family of four tried Outback Steakhouse’s $55 family-style meal deal for a steak night at home—navigating the online ordering steps, choosing sides and temperatures, and adding the Bloomin’ Onion. The deal felt like a bargain, with customization that made
The first thing my family noticed wasn’t the steak—it was how quickly we got to the part where the night felt like a bargain. Outback Steakhouse’s website was easy to navigate, and once I selected my nearest location, I clicked “Bloomin’ Bundle Meals” to start the order.
Then came the detail that mattered: these meals are not available at all Outback locations. For our table, that didn’t stop the process. I picked the center-cut 6-ounce sirloin meal for four. and I didn’t pay extra to upgrade to Victoria’s filet for an extra $20. For cooking, I selected our “preferred cook temperature,” and because I could only choose one option, I went with medium.
The meal landed with two sides, though the choices were limited. I had to choose between Aussie fries, homestyle mashed potatoes, or “fresh seasonal veggies.” I opted for fries and vegetables. The menu didn’t make it clear which vegetable we’d get. Based on the photo next to the selection, I guessed it would be broccoli.
For the salad, I chose the house over Caesar. The ordering screen let me select the dressing from a list of 10 options, and I chose ranch. I also had the option to remove some of the toppings, but I didn’t remove any.
At checkout, the deal started to feel like a slippery slope toward an even bigger night in. There was an option to add on other appetizers and desserts, and I couldn’t pass up the chain’s signature Bloomin’ Onion for an extra $11.
