A Tuesday voicemail left in Rep. Randy Fine’s Washington, D.C. office didn’t just cross the line—it went straight into the kind of violent antisemitism that makes members of Congress and their staff immediately tighten security.

The message targets Jews and includes explicit threats. Fine. one of the Jewish members of Congress on both sides of the aisle. was threatened with being beaten to death. The caller also used a graphic reference to Fine’s yarmulke—describing it as a “beanie”—and threatened to shove it “up your anus.”.

Fine’s spokesperson, Darren Dershem, said the threat has been reported to Capitol Police and that police informed Fine’s office that they are investigating.

When Capitol Police was contacted, they declined to discuss details of any potential security measures or the investigation, saying, “For safety reasons, we cannot discuss potential security measures for the Members of Congress, or any potential investigations.”

Fine’s office framed the voicemail as part of a steady stream of antisemitic abuse. The message was “a just drop in the bucket,” they said, noting that threats come “on the regular.”

The threat arrives against a broader backdrop. Earlier this year, Fine faced a more public verbal attack tied to antisemitic language when Dan Bilzerian—campaigning for Fine’s congressional seat—called him a “fat Jew.” Bilzerian later appeared on TMZ Live to defend the antisemitic remark.

The same year has also brought similar danger to another Florida congressman. Rep. Jared Moskowitz, a Florida Congressman and Democrat, has been fielding similar threats as well.

In the middle of all of it, the Tuesday voicemail is now in Capitol Police’s hands—one more stark reminder that antisemitic harassment isn’t staying behind closed doors, even when the target is a lawmaker trying to do the job of representing constituents.
